Asian Tucker: page one for “asian food tanunda”, and catering booked out.

Shandy and Lisa run a South East Asian street-food shop on Para Road, Tanunda. We built their website and a new Google Business Profile in September 2026. In its first month the site averaged 5.2 on Google for “asian food tanunda” (Search Console, September 2026), and the owners tell us catering has been booked out since it went live.

Before, the work and after

Before August 2026

A shop with real character: bánh mì filled at the counter, salad bowls, sticky rice, cold rolls and a build-it-your-way buffet, hand-stuck stickers and a cheeky monkey on the branding.

  • The brief: a website with as much character as the shop, and a new Google Business Profile, so the searches locals make (“asian food tanunda”, “banh mi tanunda”) lead to Asian Tucker.

The work September 2026

  • A hand-built, menu-first site: the full menu, a specials board and the story of the shop in the owners’ own words.
  • Fast static pages and structured data, so Google knows exactly what the shop is and where it is.
  • Copy written around the natural ways people search: Vietnamese rolls, banh mi Tanunda, Asian takeaway Barossa.
  • A new Google Business Profile, a catering enquiry form that lands straight in their inbox, and a visual editor so the team can change dishes themselves.

After

Search Console · September 2026

  • “asian food tanunda”: average position 5.2, page one in its first month (“asian restaurant tanunda” 5.8). Small numbers, a local search.

Search Console · 19 Sep – 16 Oct 2026

  • Google clicks 40 → 84 against the 28 days before (22 Aug – 18 Sep 2026), from 257 to 1,336 impressions. That is all searches, including people looking for the shop by name.

The owners · September 2026

  • Catering booked out, with the kitchen flat out since the new site went live.

The honest bits

What the numbers don’t say.

A small, local search. “asian food tanunda” is searched by locals and visitors to one town. Page one for it matters to this shop, but it is a few dozen searches a month, not hundreds.
The clicks include the shop’s name. 40 → 84 counts every search, including people who already knew the name. We don’t count searches for the business’s own name as a ranking win.
Catering is the owners’ word. “Booked out” is what Shandy and Lisa told us in September 2026. We don’t see their order book.

The build

The design and the launch are written up on JB Digital Barossa’s Asian Tucker case study.
