The SEO consultant behind Adelaide SEO Services

One person does the audits, the fixes, the pages and the reporting here. This page tells you who that is, how I work, and why everything on this site comes with evidence attached.

Who I am

Josh Button. Founder, builder, and the only person on your account.

I'm the founder of JB Digital Barossa, a South Australian web agency. I build small-business websites, and then I rank them — which is a rarer combination than it should be. Most SEO providers inherit a site someone else built and file tickets when it needs changing. When your site needs a template fixed, a page restructured or schema added, I open the code and do it.

My client work spans South Australia: Morphett Vale in the south, Gawler and Munno Para in the north, Tanunda and the Barossa. Trades make up most of the list — welders, pavers, bathroom renovators, roofers — alongside hospitality venues and ecommerce stores. If that sounds like your business, the SEO for tradies page is built from that exact experience.

And I work alone, by design. No account managers, no outsourcing, no juniors learning on your account. That caps how many clients I can take, and I'm fine with that — it's the only way the person you ring is the person doing the work.

You'll notice there's no team photo and no stock headshot on this page. There's no team, and I'd rather show you Search Console data than a picture of me holding a laptop.

How I work

The method, in plain English.

  1. Audit first. I don't quote work before diagnosing the site. Every engagement starts with the free audit — technical, on-page, local, content — so you know exactly what's broken and what it's worth fixing.
  2. Fix before build. Indexing problems, slow pages and confused site structure get repaired before any new page gets written. Building content on a broken foundation is how retainers burn money.
  3. Search Console open between us. You get access to the same Google Search Console data I look at — the actual queries, average positions and clicks, with dates. No invented dashboards, no vanity metrics.
  4. Month-to-month, because the work should keep the client. No lock-in contracts. If the results don't hold me to account, a signature shouldn't have to.

Where the experience comes from

Real projects — and the lessons they taught me.

The experience behind this practice isn't a certificate; it's the client list. Trade sites like Iron Works Mobile Welding, Becks Bathrooms in Morphett Vale and May Paving in Gawler. Hospitality like the Barossa 50's Diner. Ecommerce like Roam Offroad, a Shopify 4x4 store serving the Adelaide metro. Most of that work is local SEO — Google Business Profiles, suburb-level service pages, and the technical work underneath them.

Two lessons from my own brand shaped how I spend client money:

We ran Google Ads on our own brand — then turned them off.

When the data showed the spend wasn't producing real leads, we stopped paying. Simple as that. The same discipline applies to your budget: if a piece of work isn't earning its keep, you'll hear it from me first — not discover it in an invoice.

We froze our own location-page build-out.

Partway through building town pages for our own site, it stopped serving users — so we stopped building them and put the effort into authority and the pages that already worked. Chasing every keyword with a thin page is how sites get worse. I won't do it to yours.

Full transparency

The JB Digital Barossa relationship, in the open.

Adelaide SEO Services is the specialist SEO arm of JB Digital Barossa (ABN 26 344 199 586). Websites, design and hosting live at jbdigitalbarossa.com.au; SEO lives here. Same person, one specialist focus per site.

We state that relationship on every page rather than burying it, because trust is the entire product this site sells. If a provider hides who's behind their brand, it's fair to wonder what else they'd hide in a monthly report.

The other half of honesty

What I won't do.

  • Guarantee rankings. Google's results aren't for sale, so nobody can honestly promise a position. I show documented movement instead.
  • Buy links. No link farms, no "guest post packages", no rented authority that evaporates — or gets penalised — later.
  • Build doorway pages. Dozens of near-identical suburb pages might rank for a while; they don't serve anyone. We stopped doing it on our own site, and I won't start on yours.
  • Run an AI content farm under your brand. Pages here are written from real client work. A hundred generated articles is a liability wearing your name.
  • Lock you in. Month-to-month only. Leaving should always be easy; the work is what should make you stay.

If any of that is what you're shopping for, I'm the wrong consultant — and I'll tell you so in the audit rather than take the retainer.

See how I'd approach your site.

The free audit is the same diagnostic I run on every client project — technical, on-page, local — explained in plain English and finished with a personal video. If we're not a fit, you keep the audit anyway.
