Before, the work and after

Before 22 Aug – 18 Sep 2026

A small kitchen that sells through set delivery days. People who already knew Auggie’s could find it, but people searching for a meal delivery service in their town mostly couldn’t.

  • 22 impressions in 28 days from searches that don’t name the business.
  • No clicks at all from those searches.
  • Orders came by phone and message, with no way to see which days were already full.

The work

  • Online ordering with card payment, a delivery-day picker and a waitlist for full days, so a search can turn straight into an order.
  • Meal-delivery pages for the towns they deliver to, such as Angaston, each with its own FAQs and delivery details.
  • The Business Profile tidied up in October 2026: a new description, rewritten service text, a Weekly Meal Prep service and a service area kept to the Barossa.
  • Structured data for delivery fees and delivery days, kept in step with the site when the days change.

After

Search Console · 19 Sep – 16 Oct 2026

  • Searches that don’t name the business: 167 impressions, up from 22, and 4 clicks, up from none.
  • All searches: 90 clicks from Google, up from 54, and 1,132 impressions, up from 413.

Orders and enquiries · September and October 2026

  • 4 paid online orders through the ordering page and 1 call from the website in September 2026, then an enquiry form on 2 October 2026 (our client portal).

The honest bits

What the numbers don’t say.

Small numbers. 167 impressions is a starting line, not a flood. A local kitchen with set delivery days doesn’t need thousands of searches, but these figures are early and we label them that way.
Click-through rate fell as the site showed for more searches. Overall CTR went from 13.1% to 8.0%: people who search the name click almost every time, and the site is now also showing for broader searches where fewer people click. Clicks still rose by two thirds.
Most orders still come from people who know them. Word of mouth and Facebook bring most of Auggie’s regulars. The search work is about adding new customers on top, town by town.

The build behind it

The ordering system, the delivery-day picker and the owners’ own click-to-edit admin are written up on JB Digital Barossa’s Auggie’s Kitchen case study.
