Aston Rural Enterprises: second on Google a week after launch.
A rural gates, fencing and gate-automation business with a brand-new website. On 5 October 2026, eight days after launch, live searches from Angaston and from Tanunda put the site second on Google for “farm gates barossa”. Before, the work and after
Before September 2026
No website and no Google Business Profile. A rural business that makes and installs farm gates, post-and-rail and stock fencing, and automates gates, with work spread from the Barossa to the Adelaide Plains and the Hills. Customers were finding it by word of mouth only.
The work
- A small site built around the three things people search for: gates, fencing and gate automation, each with its own page, real product photos and the areas covered.
- Plain-English page titles that match the searches (“farm gates”, “rural fencing”, “gate automation”) rather than the business name alone.
- LocalBusiness structured data, a sitemap, and Search Console verified on launch day so the first impressions were recorded.
- A redesign the day after launch, on the owner’s direction. That is design work; we don’t claim it as the reason for the result below.
After live checks, 5 Oct 2026
- “farm gates barossa”: 2nd organic result from Angaston and from Tanunda, eight days after launch. Our own spotlight article about the build was 5th, so two of the top five results pointed at Aston.
- First nine days in Search Console (27 Sep – 5 Oct): 69 impressions, 8 clicks, average position 12.1. The gates page earned 34 impressions; the home page took 7 of the 8 clicks.
- Early searches with the site on page one: “timber farm gates” (average 5.0), “rural gate supplier” (1.0), “made to measure gates” (11.0). All from one to three impressions, so they are signals, not results.
The data
One live check, and nine days of Search Console.
We publish this early on purpose. Below is everything we have. The November re-check will add the 28-day averages and, if the owner sets one up, the Business Profile.
